Police said the victim told the medical staff that Bright had stabbed her and gave them an address where the attack occurred.

The affidavit said that when officers arrived at the apartment blood was found on the floor and the knife was in the kitchen sink.

A child of the victim stated that they had returned home from school to see Bright driving a car with the victim inside. The child later received a phone call from Bright allegedly telling them to clean up the blood in the apartment, the affidavit said.

Bright now faces a first degree murder charge.
